On average, a wedding package will include the following basic amenities:

• The venue and wedding location of your choice, with basic décor
• Table and chair linens
• Floral arrangements
• Ceremony music
• Champagne or sparkling wine toast
• A semi-private reception venue, such as a restaurant or ballroom at the resort property
• Catering and open bar service
• Wedding couple premiums, like a couple’s massage, room upgrade, or a candlelit beach dinner

Wedding Planner and Coordinator

The onsite wedding planner and wedding coordinator is the biggest and best inclusion of destination wedding packages.

These two ensure that every detail of your special day has been thought out and taken care of. 

Instead of biting your nails over whether the catering company will arrive on time until the last minute before your ceremony, you can kick back and sip a mimosa in paradise, knowing that everything has been taken care of!

The resort’s wedding planner will work with you personally to finalize the details of your wedding package and any additional add-ons. 

Your wedding coordinator handles all logistical concerns, like your venue setup, catering deliveries, and many more.

Furniture and Decor

Basic furniture is included as part of all-inclusive wedding packages for your ceremony and reception.

Chairs, tables, linens, and fashionable décor accessories are often included, however it varies depending on the package.

Food and Alcohol

Couples and their guests won’t go hungry with all-inclusive resorts’ upscale eateries and bars.

Restaurants differ from resort to resort, and some packages include more expensive, upscale dining options, like dessert bars or wagyu burger sliders.

The quality of alcohol served to you and your wedding party will depend on your package.

Beer and wine are typically included in less expensive packages, while open bars and specialty drinks are included in more expensive packages.

Are All-Inclusive Packages in the Dominican Republic Expensive?

Typically, a destination wedding is less expensive than a local ceremony conducted in the US!

A destination wedding generally costs between $5,000 and $10,000, depending on the facilities and extras you select.

According to a 2021 survey, a US wedding typically costs $28,000. And that’s for the wedding day alone, not accounting for the honeymoon!

How Do Dominican Republic Wedding Packages Work Legally?

There are some differences between Dominican Republic weddings and US-based ceremonies.

For one, most onsite Civil Ceremonies are held in Spanish. Therefore, you will receive your marriage certificate in Spanish, which needs to be legalized and translated into English after your ceremony. 

In addition, you will need the following:

• Birth Record of Bride and Groom or certified copy of the birth certificate. 
• Notarized Declaration of Single status for the Bride and Groom. (If necessary, you may need to submit two copies of the Divorce Decree or Death Certificate.)
• Photocopy of Bride/Groom’s Passport
• Photocopies of Witnesses Passports (can’t be family members)
