Surrounded by tropical gardens, the resort just opened in November of 2016. An RIU Reggae wedding is perfect for couples planning a more modern ceremony. “We had a group of 8 family members and were treated like friends from the time we walked into the lobby !! We did a lot of your activities, volleyball, yoga, pool aerobics, step aerobics, darts and more. We had a lot of fun with Shampoo, Short Boss, Spark and the rest of your crew. They are a true asset to your resort and they treated us like family. The shows were impressive and the dancers were great !! We’ve stayed at a few other Riu Palaces in the past and the Reggae was as good as any of them, both in food and facilities. We will be back !!” – John G. 4/19
“Clean, straight lines in the architecture. To me, it seemed a bit cold and I missed the Caribean touch. We were allowed to use the restaurants, beach and pool at the sister hotel “Montego Bay”, which was great and had that island flair. The staff is very nice and attentive and that includes all of them like reception, restaurants, room maids etc.. The buffets were always neat and clean, the food was great. Please be aware that the hotel is close to the airport, so you will hear planes passing when you are outside. The rooms are well insiäulated.” – Michaela S. 7/17
“My wife and I stayed here for 5 days… Check in was a breeze. O’Shane at the front desk really made it easy.. We inquired about an upgrade to a partial ocean view and he made it happen at a discounted rate. Champagne on arrival was a nice touch. Room was promptly ready and was very clean. Room was turned over in a timely manner daily. Bars and drinks were great – never a long line. Samantha, one of the bartenders, really made our day at the pool great with her amazing shots. The buffet was pretty good… Breakfast was the best. Dinner in the Italian and Asian restaurant were just ok… Which is why this is 4 star rating and not 5. Overall, every was really nice and the resort is beautiful. “ – Shane W. 7/17
“Very friendly and helpful staff. The resort is beautiful but a little small. Great food but no top shelf liquor. I recommend it as a place to relax and recharge.” – Richard P. 7/17
