Today we’re featuring Adrian and Rachel’s wedding at Melia Tropical all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana. The Destify Couple met during a bonfire the summer before college. After several years of dating, he proposed on a trip to Niagra Falls, during a night cruise to see the famous sight. They knew they wanted a destination wedding after attending ones in Mexico and Jamaica.
The couple chose Melia Caribe Tropical because it offered a variety of great food and drink options and had a fun layout all of their guests would enjoy. The chose the Dominican Republic because it was a destination they had never visited together. Working with the wedding department proved to be an easy and simple process and they loved how stress-free the entire destination wedding was.
Melia Caribe Tropical is a beautiful resort, offering a variety of room tiers that can meet the budget of any guest. It’s located on the magnificent Bavaro Beach, with an expansive private beach, fine-dining options, and vibrant surroundings. Adults-only guests can stay at next door Melia Punta Beach and still attend your ceremony, so this location works well for guests of every age. All together the resort offers 3 wedding ceremony venues, the beach, a beachfront gazebo, and a garden gazebo.
The couple held their ceremony on the beach at 4pm. Following, the couple took photos while their guests attended a cocktail hour. Then everyone joined together for a semi-private reception at one of the resort’s delicious a-la-carte restaurants. They capped off the festivities the day after, with a Cruise. Rachel said, “It was a nice way to unwind with our guests.”
