Kenny and Sarah’s Wedding at Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos

The Couple

Kenny and Sarah met on the popular dating app Tinder. After some time dating, Kenny proposed while some of their family was visiting the couple from Oregon. It was December, and he corralled Sarah into hiking one morning. The weather was perfect, despite it being one of the colder months, and he proposed on one of their favorite trails over the American River in Auburn, California. Sarah said, “We never finished the hike, we turned around and went home so we could celebrate with our family!”

The Planning

The couple knew they wanted their destination wedding in Mexico, but traveling to the Caribbean coast wasn’t feasible for both the couple and their guests. Together with their Destify agent, Melissa, the couple chose the Sandos Finisterra resort, in Los Cabos. The couple agreed both working with Destify, and the Sandos’ wedding department, was simple and easy.

The Wedding

The couple had a ceremony rehearsal with their bridal party on Thursday, which followed with a rehearsal dinner for their guests. Their ceremony was on that Friday, on the beach. Sarah said, “It was perfect”. Everything went smoothly, and the ceremony was proceeded by a reception, with food and drinks.

The couple was lucky enough to receive an upgraded room from Sandos, a suite that was situated on one of the cliffs, with access to a secret pool and bar for club guests only. After the ceremony, the resort had decorated their room and included champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries with rose petals on the bed.

Looking Back

The couple admits they wish they had had an extra day without guests, all the better to unwind from all of the wedding festivities. They never felt overwhelmed and the food was great.
