Today on the blog we’re featuring Sonja and Eric’s destination wedding at the expansive Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana resort, in the Dominican Republic. Our recent Destify Couple held their ceremony at the beach gazebo at 4 pm, just before sunset. Follow below to learn more about their beautiful destination wedding.
Eric and Sonja met on their phone team through work, she was the Customer Experience Coach, and they got to know each other some over the phone, before ever meeting in person. On her last day, before moving to a new team, he asked if they could go on a date in real life. The rest, is history, as they say.
The couple had fallen in love with Punta Cana on a previous trip, so they knew they wanted a destination wedding there. They chose the Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana resort. The resort has a central location, is easy to get to from the airport, features numerous pools, restaurants, and bars to explore, and offers plenty of room for wedding parties of any size.
Sonja and Eric’s destination wedding featured a lovely ceremony with ocean views, a welcome dinner for guests upon arrival, a private reception in one of the resort’s restaurants, and their package even included a romantic candlelit dinner for two. Sonja said, “The food was amazing, the wine was amazing and the view was unforgettable.”
