The Couple
Tiphanie and Ricky met through work. They work for the same agency but in separate jurisdictions. One birthday weekend Ricky dropped Tiphanie off for a massage appointment. After her massage, the masseuse handed her a stuffed puppy with a note that said to ‘meet me at the lake next to the dog park’ they often went too together. There Ricky had a picnic set up with their 9-week old golden retriever puppy. He gave her a box with a poem on it that said, “Roses are red, violets are blue. I love you so much, I want to marry you”.
The Planning
The couple knew they wanted a destination wedding, and they wanted the planning to be stress-free. They began the planning process 2 years out, with their Destify agent Amanda Alfaro. Tiphanie said, “She was nothing short of spectacular”. She answered every question and was always eager and present with help. They chose the NOW Jade Riviera Cancun resort, in Mexico.
Once working with their wedding department the couple was clear with their planning style, and they didn’t want to have to think about anything the day of their wedding. The wedding department and their coordinator, Irina, kept up her end of the bargain. She told them when and where to be throughout the resort, and made sure everything was perfect.
The Wedding
The couple chose to stay at the resort for 9 stays, so they could enjoy both their destination wedding and their vacation too. The couple held their ceremony at the resort’s elegant pergola, featuring a saxophonist who played during the procession. Tiphanie said, “It was a dream come true!”
A private reception followed on the beach, with a gourmet dinner and cake cutting. The whole day proved one the couple will never forget. But best of all was the entire week and all of the memories that were made. Local weddings can’t lay claim to the fact you get an entire week to celebrate with family and friends.
Looking Back
The couple highly recommends NOW Jade Riviera Cancun, and their time there was amazing. Tiphanie’s advice is that nothing can go wrong when you’re getting married to your best friend by the beach, with your family present.
