Pierre and Yolanda’s Wedding at Dreams Onyx

The Couple

Yolanda and Pierre met a friend’s party and began dating shortly after. Pierre proposed during a family cookout, with all of their loved ones in attendance. The couple wanted a destination wedding because it meant a vacation for their family and friends.

The Planning

Once working with their Destify agent Erica, they booked a resort in Punta Cana. But renovations caused the resort to close and the couple moved their wedding to the beautiful Dreams Onyx resort. Yolanda said, “Erica was great at helping us choose a resort and getting our family booked”. The entire wedding planning process was simple and easy.

The Wedding

The couple and many of their guests stayed at the resort for 5 days, taking plenty of time to enjoy the entertainment and restaurants across the property. The couple booked a swim-up suite, where many of their family and friends hung out with them. The couple held their ceremony at 1 pm at the resort’s fountain, where streams of water helped to make for a grand entrance.

Looking Back

The couple advises future newlyweds to take your time when planning, and not to get too caught up on the small details. Just go, have fun, and the rest will work itself out.
