Cost of Wedding Package? Did you add any upgrades?

$0, we did upgrade the flowers to make them match the color of the wedding which was an extra cost! We also added in lights for the reception and DJ and dance floor!

How did Destify help you choose the perfect destination and resort for your wedding?

Destify was extremely helpful in that i told them what date i wanted and my vision for my wedding and they were able to to the hard work and ask resorts if that date was open and what areas they had available. When they sent me options it was super easy from there to pic the one i liked and put a deposit down to secure the venue! (the deposit was the room price)

What was your favorite wedding moment with your spouse?

I truly loved every minute of our wedding! I think our favorite moment was after the ceremony, when everyone went to the cocktail hour, it was just us taking pictures and having fun and we got to relax and take it all in that we were really married!

What was your favorite experience at the wedding?

I loved that we got to have our closest friends and family there to celebrate with us. Our reception was so much fun! everyone was so happy and dancing around and the whole vibe of it was exactly what i had imagined!

How was the experience for your guests, and what did they enjoy most about the wedding and destination?

I have heard nothing but great things about the wedding! everyone loved the idea of staying before the wedding day so we all got to hang out with eachother! The only complaint i got was the heat at the ceremony (but i didnt care about the heat, i just didnt want rain!!)

Looking back, what would you say to couples considering a destination wedding with Destify?

I would absolutely recommend!! It was such an easy process especially in the midst of me having a full time job! It took so much stress off of my knowing that i had an army of people helping me and answering any questions i had!

How was your ceremony, and did you have a reception? Where was your reception?

My ceremony was super intimate! We read personal vows to each other and it was the point of the wedding everyone talked about the most! As for the reception, we did have it! we had it at the altamar patio at the Ava resort! This was not my first choice for the reception, however it turned out more beautiful that i could have ever imagined!! Truly one of the best times ive ever had in my life!

What did you love most about getting married at your resort?

I loved that there was so many things to do while we were there before the wedding day! I also loved that they had so many terrace options which was the one thing i wanted for the ceremony location! They were able to provide me with literally exactly the venue i had envisioned and it could not have been more perfect.

How did the amenities at your resort make your wedding week special?

I think most of us went to the spa at least once, which was needed after all of the wedding stress! They actually helped me a lot there because i was having severe back pain the day before the wedding and they were able to relieve the stress my body was under in time for me to walk down the aisle! We also did bowling, laser tag, pool volleyball- you name it we most likely did it!

What features of your resort made your ceremony or reception memorable?

The resort took great care of us! We had our on site coordinator help us out with literally everything and she was here to answer all questions we had! It was super easy to book reservations for dinners so that way our wedding party could have fun together as well!

How did you feel about planning a destination wedding at first, and in what ways did our team help simplify the process and bring your vision to life?

It was overwhelming at first just with me not going to the resort until the wedding week! Destify helped a lot with giving inspo pictures, sending videos, getting us contacts, and setting up calls to ensure i felt comfortable every step of the way!

Knowing what you know, would you do a destination wedding again?

ABSOLUTELY!!!! No questions asked!!! I wish i could do it over again because it was the best time ive ever had!

Do you have any advice for future couples?

This day only comes once in a life time, so soak in ever moment! There is going to be stuff that goes wrong, however something that helped me was that no one else at the wedding knows what is supposed to happen, or what songs are supposed to play. So if something does go wrong, the only one that really knows is you.
