Cost of Wedding Package? Did you add any upgrades?

roughly ended up being around 10k, no major upgrades other than DJ equipment because we brought in our own DJ.

How did Destify help you choose the perfect destination and resort for your wedding?

They helped me look at resorts, see options that catered to what I was looking for.

What was your favorite wedding moment with your spouse?

Walking down the aisle, with his back turned for our first look!

What was your favorite experience at the wedding?

The reception. All my most important family and friends were there, we brought in our own DJ and no one left the dance floor all night-not to mention a huge group jumped in the pool at the end of the reception!!

How was the experience for your guests, and what did they enjoy most about the wedding and destination?

I think everyone enjoyed themselves-we are from Boston and had a tough winter with cold and snow-so everyone was just pumped to be on vacation with their best friends, in the warmth, on the beach and having a good time with each other. Everyone got along and loved each other!

Looking back, what would you say to couples considering a destination wedding with Destify?

Its a great way to keep everything organized in one place for your guests.

How was your ceremony, and did you have a reception? Where was your reception?

Ceremony was on the beach and was amazing, weather was perfect sunny and a tid bit of wind to keep everyone cool. Reception was the most fun part and was at the wet bar at the pool at our resort.

What did you love most about getting married at your resort?

We were all in one place together. So we could hang by the beach, the pool, grab a drink or a bite-meet up for cocktails before and after dinner. It was the best quality time I could ask for!

How did the amenities at your resort make your wedding week special?

Everythings in one place. With our wedding package most was included and they included such things as couples massages (only 25 min beware), and a private breakfast and dinner after the wedding.

What features of your resort made your ceremony or reception memorable?

I think being able to have everyone in one place, everyone there together-not in a rush-enjoying each others company. I think the people that were there though made it memorable!!

How did you feel about planning a destination wedding at first, and in what ways did our team help simplify the process and bring your vision to life?

Honestly and no offense-I wasnt nervous but the resort did most of the work regarding planning. I feel like Destify was a great place to start to choose the resort, get us set up and in communication with the resort-wedding coordinators, etc.

Knowing what you know, would you do a destination wedding again?

I WOULD over and over again!

Lastly, do you have any advice for future couples?

Be patient. Destination weddings at these resorts they literally do 5 a day. I didnt meet my wedding coordinator until 4 months out and wedding planner directly 2 weeks out. They know what they are doing-and if you are really detail orientated (I was very go with the flow), then make sure you keep on them. They are busy-slow to respond. Patience! and let the little things go!

Where did you purchase your wedding dress or attire from?

Madelines Closet in Portsmouth, NH. Groom and groomsmen got their suits from Twillory.

It roughly ended up being around $10k, no major upgrades other than DJ equipment because we brought in our own DJ. We also added a welcome party for all 80 guests the night before the wedding, which was not a part of the package, but we are so glad we added it though!
