How did Destify help you choose the perfect destination and resort for your wedding?

We were struggling to find the perfect resort for what we wanted/needed on our own, & it was soo overwhelming to try & research all of the options. Our Destify rep helped narrow down our choices with the criteria we gave her, and made our process so much less stressful.

What was your favorite wedding moment with your spouse?

Seeing my husband for the first time at the aisle – there were so many emotions felt, and it was so special to see the ocean behind him, the beautiful tropical flowers, and our closest friends and family.

What was your favorite experience at the wedding?

Celebrating all night with our best friends and closest family. Everything came together more perfectly that we could have even asked for!

How was the experience for your guests, and what did they enjoy most about the wedding and destination?

Our guests LOVED the resort – it was the perfect blend of cost-friendly but also gorgeous & with great food. Everyone loved the size of the resort, because it allowed people to spend a lot of time together outside of the wedding events itself. We loved that even after the wedding ended, we all woke up in the same place the next morning & got to debrief, hangout, and celebrate more by the pool!

Looking back, what would you say to couples considering a destination wedding with Destify?

I would say that if you are struggling to find a resort that meets all of your expectations/wants for your wedding, or are feeling anxious that the “perfect” place doesn’t exist in a price range you are looking for, to reach out to Destify! It made the process of finding a resort, and booking for us and our guests, as painless as it could have been..

How was your ceremony, and did you have a reception? Where was your reception?

Our ceremony was incredible. We brought our own officiant, & it was a very intimate, Jesus-filled ceremony. Our reception followed at the garden space on the resort, a very short walk away from the ceremony venue.

What did you love most about getting married at your resort?

The resort was the exact vibe that matches our personality, and we absolutely loved the wedding venue-specific spots on the resort. It was really important to us to find a resort that had wedding-specific spots that really brought our vision to life & screamed “Ben & Hannah”. This resort did just that.

How did the amenities at your resort make your wedding week special?

We had a private butler offered to us to help with dinner reservations, etc. which was a very nice feature. It made getting in for dinner a breeze. They also took great care of us in the way they cleaned/cared for our room, & decorated it so nicely for the wedding night. The room service breakfast was a really nice touch! We unfortunately ran out of time to take advantage of some of the other features.

What features of your resort made your ceremony or reception memorable?

The Pergola was such a unique and gorgeous ceremony spot. We really wanted to be somewhere that was near the beach but NOT in the sand. We loved that we got to overlook the ocean, and our large wooden cross centerpiece was so special. So many people commented on how cool of a spot it was. We also loved that the reception was in the garden, because it made for another unique feel.

How did you feel about planning a destination wedding at first, and in what ways did our team help simplify the process and bring your vision to life?

I was EXTREMELY overwhelmed and stressed about finding the right resort. Truthfully, before we found Destify, I was starting to think that maybe a destination wedding would be too hard and we should change our mind on that style of wedding completely. The Destify team really made the process so simple. I’m also glad it was so easy for guests to book through and reach out to Destify directly if they had questions or concerns. The hotel/airport transportation was extremely easy and convenient to use – which was such a blessing!

Knowing what you know, would you do a destination wedding again?

1000% yes!

Do you have any advice for future couples?

Overall, know who you’re inviting – what is an affordable price range for nightly stay, etc. for them, and what are some of your biggest must-haves at your resort/wedding day? Focus on the things most important to you, and trust that the rest will fall into place. Do not be afraid to ask your specific resort coordinator about decor upgrades/etc. that stray off of the “package options.” It IS possible to make your wedding as unique and specific to your dream as you want!
