The Couple
Eric and Katie first met in their hometown at a local bar, Ballpark Village, in downtown St. Louis. He asked her to dance and five years later she said yes. Eric proposed on one very special Christmas, on the front porch of her parent’s house, while the entire family was inside watching.
The Planning
The couple both agreed that Jamaica was their favorite warm retreat for vacations and loved the atmosphere. They knew that it would provide for a memorable week with family and friends. While working with their Destify agent Steffani, they chose the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall resort, just outside of Montego Bay.
The couple said, “Steffani was great at keeping me on track for what I needed to do and to get done”. The wedding planning process did feel a bit too hands-on at times for Katie though, but once she got started it became clear how to coordinate what she envisioned.
The Wedding
The couple and their immediate family spent 7 nights at the resort, and the couple paid beyond their wedding package’s initial cost as their wedding group extended to 60 guests. The rest of the guests trickled in over the following 7 days. The butler service proved exceptional throughout the stay, and their personal butler Denisha helped out with many of the tedious tasks throughout the week, relieving much of the stress of the wedding.
The couple held their ceremony at 5pm at the wedding gazebo. The venue’s views were stunning, it seated all their guests, and was covered from the sun. A cocktail reception followed on the lawn with appetizers and a live steel-drum band. The night ended with a private reception on the beach, with beautiful views and an ocean breeze, fun lighting, music, and a DJ. Katie said, “It was perhaps my favorite venue of the day”.
Looking Back
The couple shared that not a single moment went wrong on their trip. They didn’t have to stress or worry about a thing. The planners were so helpful and on top of the complete itinerary, and the couple agreed they had the most unforgettable time of their life.
