The Couple
Daniel and Krysta met at the age of 15, through a mutual friend. He proposed during a vacation to Colorado for his birthday. It was on the top of Lookout Mountain, in beautiful Morrison, Colorado. They knew they wanted a wedding in the Dominican Republic because they had visited Punta Cana in 2011, and had loved it.
The Planning
The couple chose the Dreams Punta Cana resort, based on online reviews and pictures from Pinterest. Once working with their Destify agent, Jordan, everything just became easier. Krysta said, “Jordan was always available to communicate with”. Working with the wedding department was a smooth process too, and the spa was also responsive when she reached out to them.
The Wedding
The couple hosted a great-sized wedding, with over 50 guests. The couple held their ceremony on a Wednesday, at 6 pm, at the resort’s garden gazebo. The couple both agreed they felt relaxed for their entire wedding day, and Krysta said, “Dreams really took care of every little thing!” They loved that the wedding proved to be the perfect way to bring friends and family together for a vacation.
After the ceremony, the couple hosted a private reception at the beautiful Himitsu Terrace, with gorgeous natural scenery. The DJ was spot on and knew exactly what he was doing with their musical selections. For a final send-off to guests, the couple hosted a booze cruise the following day, and over 40 of their guests attended. It was their favorite moment of the trip, and the destination wedding was an experience none of their guests will ever forget.
Looking Back
The couple agreed that the best advice is to not hesitate with what you want for your destination wedding. It was everything they wanted, and well worth their time and effort.
