Midway through planning, we encountered an unexpected situation that required us to change resorts. Candyce Roa handled this challenge with incredible professionalism and care she guided us through selecting a new resort and worked diligently to secure multiple complimentary offerings to offset the inconvenience.

What was your favorite wedding moment with your spouse?

Our favorite wedding moment was walking down the beach aisle and seeing all our family and friends gathered by the ocean, celebrating our love together. It was the perfect mix of joy, love, and the sound of the waves a moment we’ll cherish forever.

What was your favorite experience at the wedding?

Our favorite part of the wedding was the reception dancing, laughing, and celebrating our marriage surrounded by our family. It was pure joy.

How was the experience for your guests, and what did they enjoy most about the wedding and destination?

All of our guests loved their rooms and the resort! Some even received free upgrades, which was such a nice surprise. Everyone enjoyed how big and beautiful the resort was, with plenty of things to do. Our guests especially loved the beach wedding and the cocktail hour upstairs at Taboo. The reception was a favorite, it felt open and airy, yet private at the same time and everyone had an amazing time celebrating with us.

Looking back, what would you say to couples considering a destination wedding with Destify?

Our experience with Destify and our wedding planner, Candyce Roa, was truly exceptional. From start to finish, Candyce went above and beyond to ensure our destination wedding planning process was seamless.

How was your ceremony, and did you have a reception? Where was your reception?

The ceremony was absolutely lovely with the beach and waves as our backdrop and all of our family there to share the moment with us. The reception was in Elements.

What did you love most about getting married at your resort?

The ceremony was absolutely lovely, the sound of the waves, the soft sand, and our family all around us made it such a meaningful moment. Everything at the resort was perfect, from our beautiful beach ceremony to the unforgettable reception at Elements. Every detail came together flawlessly.

How did the amenities at your resort make your wedding week special?

The resort had so much to offer — there was always something happening at the main pool, and even more activities upstairs. Most of our guests loved starting their mornings by going out to see the beautiful beach.

What features of your resort made your ceremony or reception memorable?

The lighting and fixtures they had at the resort were so beautiful.

How did you feel about planning a destination wedding at first, and in what ways did our team help simplify the process and bring your vision to life?

Planning a destination wedding was scary at first because we didn’t know where to start or which resort to choose. Thankfully, Candyce guided us through all the confusion and helped narrow down the best resort options, making the whole process so much easier. Midway through planning, we encountered an unexpected situation that required us to change resorts. Destify also stepped in to support us during this transition, which we deeply appreciated. Thanks to her dedication and expertise, everything came together smoothly, and our wedding day was absolutely perfect.
