Adia and Darrell’s Wedding at Dreams Onyx

The Couple

Adia and Darrell met through work, they were both social workers. After several years of dating, a friend took Adia to the horse track to bet and was surprised by Darrell and her daughters, and he proposed to her. He had also surprised her with a ring and plaque he had made.

The Planning

They wanted to go to Punta Cana because of the water’s color, as turquoise is her favorite color. This is why they chose the Dreams Onyx resort, plus it was an economical option too. Working with Destify, and their agent Jasmine was an easy process. Adia said, “She was quick to respond to our questions”.

The Wedding

The couple stayed at the resort for 5 days. The ceremony was held on the beach at 5 pm. The couple surprised their guests by requesting that they come down the aisle too. Adia said, “Seeing our guests dance down the aisle made me smile”. They followed the ceremony with a dinner reception at the resort’s Italian restaurant, featuring live music.
