Today we’re featuring Tom and Margot’s wedding at Sandos Caracol resort in Mexico. This Destify Couple originally met at a friend’s engagement party and after years of dating, Tom would propose on a very special trip. It was along a hike on the Sequoia Trail that he popped the big question. They wanted a destination wedding cause it celebrated their love of the outdoors and beaches.
The couple chose the Sandos Caracol Eco-resort, in Mexico’s Riviera Maya. The resort is founded on environmental protection, and across the property, guests will find local wildlife like monkeys and coati. There are also cenotes, which are natural swimming holes, and a waterpark for guests of any age. The wedding venues are numerous, from the unique hive-like gazebo on the beach to the cenote platform.
The couple chose to have their wedding ceremony on the cenote, surrounded by lush Riviera Maya jungle. Mayan drummers played as guests took their seats. The couple ended their destination wedding with a private reception on the rooftop terrace, and the best cameo of the night was the large full moon, on display for the duration.
The couple chose the Green Wedding Package and held their ceremony at 5pm. It included the assistance of a wedding department and coordinator, ceremony decor, live music, a flower arrangement and much more. Keeping in line with the eco-friendly vibes of the resort, the package also included the organization to plant a tree to honor the couples’ special day.
