Ruthanne and Roosevelt’s Wedding at Dreams Tulum

The Couple

Ruthanne met Roosevelt while attending weekly mass at their local church. Curious about asking him out on a date, Ruthanne stole his number from her cousin and the couple started getting to know each other. Although their relationship was entirely long distance for 9 years, the couple remained constantly faithful and devoted to each other. After dating for some time, Roosevelt proposed to Ruthanne on top of a stone crafted bridge at Central Park during a pre-planned trip by the groom.

The Planning

From the moment they were engaged, Ruthanne and Roosevelt knew they desired a destination wedding in a stunning tropical environment close to home and relatives. Pursuing a wedding resort featuring an exceptionally secluded and private set of venues, the couple set their sights on Dreams Tulum in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Throughout the planning process, Ruthanne and Roosevelt felt comforted by the accentuated thoughtfulness and professionalism exhibited by their Desitfy agent Steffani.

With their strong religious faith, the couple was initially concerned about whether or not their necessities and requirements would be met. As their ceremony inched closer, Ruthanne and Roosevelt agreed that securing last-minute accommodations such as flower arrangements and catering was due to their planner’s open communication.

The Wedding

On the day of the wedding, the couple and their wedding party were treated to immaculate service, greeted by pre-ceremony refreshments, alterations, and even additional supplies for their close friend and make-up artist who flew out to assist with the bridesmaids’ preparations.

Timing their ceremony to perfectly capture the waning light of the sunset, the couple tied the knot at the resort’s lush Secret Garden in front of family and friends. After making it official, Ruthanne and Roosevelt hosted a lively cocktail hour in the property’s expansive Ballroom. Relishing in their 2 DJ’s, delectable cuisines, and a bevy of photo opportunities, Ruthanne took a step back during the reception and reflected, “My favorite moment of it all was just witnessing everything come together, and seeing how everything turned out the exact way we wanted.”
