Today we’re featuring Brittany and Scott’s wedding at Sandos Caracol. Brittany and Scott were childhood friends, who reconnected later in life. The Destify Couple chose a destination wedding after a traditional wedding in their home of Oklahoma appeared to costly. Scott proposed to Brittany on a hike to the great falls of the Potomac River, with a special ring made from his grandmother’s original wedding ring.
The couple chose the Sandos Caracol Eco-resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. The couple both consider themselves animal lovers, and this resort features a nature-friendly approach to all-inclusive resorts, and you never know when some local wildlife may appear for a photobomb. The couple didn’t want a traditional wedding, so hosting one here was the perfect way to be different.
The Sandos Caracol Eco-resort is ideal for couples who desire tropical surroundings for their destination wedding. The resort offers a full-size waterpark, clear cenotes for swimming across the property, and a wildlife trail home to peackcocks, monkeys, and coati. Wedding options are plentiful at the resort, with ceremony venues that range from sky decks, to the beach, and cenotes, and a wedding department well-equipped to make your dreams come true.
The couple chose to wed on one of the resort’s cenote decks. The biggest surprise of all was after they exchanged vows and leaped into the waters. Their bridal party followed suit shortly after. After a quick change into more relaxing outfits (and because the wedding attire was soaked) the couple held a private reception featuring dancing and food on the resort’s sky deck, with ocean views.
