Destination wedding review at Playacar Palace – Riviera Maya, Mexico
The Couple
Khalani and Trevor met at a restaurant in downtown Los Angeles a little over 2 ½ years ago. For a family Holiday card, Trevor planned a photoshoot over Thanksgiving weekend. As they were taking the final shots, he got down on one knee and asked if she would officially become Mrs. McNeal.
The Planning
The couple knew they wanted something different for their wedding, and they wanted to visit a place they had never been too together. Together with their Destify agent, Tiffany, they chose to host a destination wedding at Playacar Palace resort in Mexico. They found a cost-effective location their entire family could join them at, and they were able to receive a wedding package that included everything they wanted, and only had to pay for some additional guests. The wedding department was great at communications too. Khalani said, “I loved I could review the different brochures of options based on categories”.
The Wedding
The couple hosted a full week of fun and exciting activities for their entire wedding party, with over 30 guests. There was a dinner rehearsal followed by individual bachelor and bachelorette parties the night before the ceremony, and everyone had breakfast and dinner together every day throughout the week. The couple hosted their wedding ceremony at 3 pm at the wedding gazebo. Rain threatened to hit after the ceremony, so the wedding team moved their cocktail hour and reception into a beautiful ballroom as a backup plan.
The couple loved the reception. The DJ interviewed them during the cocktail hour and put together a playlist that had the entire wedding party dancing the night away. Meanwhile, the buffet staff worked effortlessly to ensure delicious food for the duration. Khalani said, “The party itself was so fun!”
Looking Back
The couple agreed that using Destify was like having your own world-expert. They have so much information based on former clients, it made planning smooth and easy. Don’t be afraid to open up your guest list a bit, as the more who choose to come may lead to additional perks for your wedding package and inclusions.
