Dreams Los Cabos
Colin and Kayla both live in Texas, and met after a UT football game, at a bar downtown in Austin. After some time of dating, the couple fell in love, and Colin proposed at a winery in Dripping Springs, a town west of the state capital.
Once working with Destify, and their agent Daniel, the came up with their destination and what they were looking for in a resort. Daniel sent a list of at least 12 resorts that checked off their needs, and from there the couple chose to visit 3 resorts in person on a trip to Los Cabos, Mexico. The couple chose Dreams Los Cabos after their site inspection, and Kayla said, “The funny thing is that Dreams stood out the most, but was last on our list before the trip.”
The couple began planning with a year in advance, which gave their guests plenty of time to book, they never felt rushed or stressed. The couple highly recommends visiting your resort if you can before the wedding, and to meet the wedding department in person. Throughout the process, Daniel always provided prompt communication.
Once at the resort the couple planned for multiple events for their destination wedding. The day before their wedding they hosted a cocktail reception so all of their guests could mix and mingle, and get to know each other. The couple created an itinerary that informed their guests what was happening when and where. For the ceremony, the couple hired a videographer who captured it all on the film. The couple both agreed the beach ceremony was their favorite moment of the trip. The couple did their research beforehand and chose to bring their own photographer from the states. Although it cost more, they were so happy with the amazing photos they received.
The couple advises taking a more detailed look at your resort credits and what inclusions your packages offer. Pictures may reveal too much, and Kayla was surprised at having to pay extra for a walkway on the beach for her ceremony, and for the string lights at the reception. They also recommend meeting with your DJ beforehand to go over songs and to pronounce the names of your wedding party.
How beautiful the ceremony was on the beach, I hired a videographer in Cabo to capture the day and I’m so glad I did!
