Today we’re featuring Tiana and Jessica’s Wedding at the Occidental at Xcaret. The Destify Couple originally met through mutual friends over Facebook, eventually meeting in person and developing a romantic relationship. A few years later, during an astronomy show at the Charles Hayden Planetarium in Boston, Tiana proposed to Jessica utilizing a computer-generated array of stars that spelled out, “Jessica, will you marry me?”
The couple chose the Occidental at Xcaret in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Seeking a destination wedding in Mexico with a budget-friendly rate and the capability of hosting same-sex ceremonies, Tiana and Jessica knew that Riviera Maya would fulfill their dream wedding. Garnering budget-friendly rates for their family and friends, as well as an extraordinary selection of on and off-site excursions, the couple was also amazed by the resort’s stellar on-site wedding planner and department.
Situated perfectly on the warm sands of a private bay, the Occidental at Xcaret offers wedding guests and travelers alike a unique Caribbean retreat. The property boasts 11 restaurants, including 5 international a-la-carte restaurants, and 10 bars, making it the perfect place for foodies and adventurous Occidental at Xcaret wedding couples.
Providing a gorgeous collection of wedding venues the Occidental at Xcaret hosted an unforgettable ceremony under the resort’s Garden Gazebo, overlooking the glistening Caribbean. Utilizing the Coconut Paradise Package, Tiana and Jessica welcomed their guests to a luxurious cocktail hour and reception at the vibrant Beach Club. Reflecting on their wedding planning experience, the couple agreed that their Destify agent Cassandra and on-site coordinator Luz, enabled their dream ceremony to come into fruition. Jessica said, “I wish I could relive the whole week. The ceremony is kind of a blur because I was so nervous but the reception was the most fun I’ve ever had!”
